3 December 2011 End of Season Party A very jolly and festive End of Season party was enjoyed by many at the Coach & Horses. Everyone was remarkably well behaved (no food fights) although some overheard conversations did contain “adult themes”. But what else would you expect? |

4 November 2011 New Boat for RWSC Following extensive research, trials and consultation with all club members a Ski Nautique 200 has been ordered for the 2012 season. 10 September 2011 Regional Inter-Club Competition The "Ricky Buoys" slalom team finished as overall runners up after the concluding regional inter-club competition held at Denham. The final scores were very close. Well done to the winners from Ellingham. Ricky were just four points behind and only one point ahead of Denham in third. Thanks to all who skied for the club this year and those who came to support. |

30 August 2011 Hellespont bicentenary open water swim, Turkey Greg Manning followed in the footsteps of Byron when he took part in one of the most significant open water swims in the world. In 1810, Lord Byron the English Poet became the first known person to swim across the Hellespont from Europe to Asia. |

28 August 2011 2011 World Disabled Water Ski Championship Claire "Bricko" Ellis (former RWSC member) has won Gold in Tricks & Gold in Slalom for her category at the 2011 World Disabled Waterski Championships this weekend at the IWWF World Disabled Water Ski Championships held in West Chester, Ohio, USA. |

21 August 2011 Church Wilne Competition Alice Ferris competed in the Cutting Edge run youth programme at Church Wilne Watersports Club, Derbyshire. Alice achieved 2nd in tricks and would have come 1st if she'd managed 1 more trick! She was 9th in the slalom and got points for waving at the judge in the wakeboarding. Well done Alice ! |

21 August 2011 Add a little Spice! What a delight it was to welcome Geri Halliwell to a coaching session at the club. It was a gloriously sunny morning and we were all charmed by Geri's lively and enthusiastic personality. Adam and Dennis were the most attentive instructors. |

7 August 2011 Three Rivers District Council Disability Fun Day Three Rivers Council organised the “Get set nature walk” at Rickmansworth Aquadrome. Individuals with a disability and their families were invited to join in a walk around Batchworth Lake and participate in a scavenger hunt, fishing and some water sports. The picture shows the inspirational Andy Trollope, who was injured in a moto cross accident, coaching Rachel in the art of seated skiing. |

25 June 2011 Marlow vs Rickmansworth Interclub competition RWSC hosted the return match with Marlow on a glorious June day. The competition was close with Rickmansworth achieving an overall score of 242 and Marlow inching ahead with 244. 23 June 2011 George Mayling Tuition Day George started competing at the age of 9 and became a British Team Squad Skier at the age of 11 competing at European and World level every year since. George is currently the Under 21 National Champion and also holds the under 12 and under 17 records. George has spent the last 3 years working at some of the top schools in the States and in the UK. RWSC were delighted to have George spend a day coaching our members. |

8 May 2011 Annual General Meeting The AGM was held at the ski club. The chairman provided an overview of the previous year's events. There was a report from the treasurer.
